It’s been a while since I’ve done a giveaway…
And I’ve got a great one today. My very talented friend Christine* of Handmade by Christine has offered an adorable spring bag to a lucky Big Piece of Cake reader!
Hand embroidered with a bluebird in a redbud tree, the bag measures 11 3/4 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and has a 17 inch strap. It’s made from canvas and is lined with lime green linen.

Since we’re in the middle of Spring Break season, I’m going to keep this contest open for TWO WEEKS (unheard of!). I don’t want anyone to miss it.
UPDATE: Christine just told me that she’ll refund all shipping costs to any one who mentions The Big Piece of Cake in the message box on any Etsy purchases.

To get a second entry – visit Handmade by Christine and tell me what you would buy if you had a store credit (hint: this bag is NOT in the Etsy shop – it was made exclusively for this giveaway).

*Who is Christine: Christine is my brother’s girlfriend. She is an incredibly talented artist who among many other things, does beautiful embroidery. I love Christine and think of her as my sister in law. She and my brother (who is also an incredibly talented artist) are rather unconventional – so who knows if they’ll ever do the marriage thing, but seriously, if soul mates exist… Oh yeah – and Christine is also medium height with light brown hair and a kind of mod/bohemian (think Anthropologie) style. You know – just in case you wanted a visual.
Mother to three children (four if you count my husband), keeper of a moderately sane house, admirer of beautiful interiors and fashion that becomes more and more "young" for me, textile junkie and believer in the power of wishing really, really hard. I wage a daily battle against feet on furniture, "outside voices" inside, the ever widening chasm between now and "when I used to work," wrinkles, a lack of personal time, dust and the constant arrows that having a special needs child shoots directly into one's heart. So far dust and wrinkles are winning, but only because even the best of multitaskers have their limits.
